For each different plan/idea: - List the name of the plan - Draw a picture representing the plan - List the plans advantages - List the plans disadvantages - Briefly explain your impression of/thoughts on the plan Get key terms from chapter 9.3 (pg. 326)

Watch state video: Maryland/DC - Write standard 1/2 page response Read Chapter 8.2 (pg 318-325) - Get key terms into notes Watch "Follow the Drinking Gourd" video Using the "Drinking Gourd" lyrics as an example: - Create your own set of directions from one location to another (a route you knoe VERY well) - Routes must involve at least 10 steps or landmarks - Translate the directions into "code" and symbols - Set the new directions to song - Song choice is up to you, if nothing else use Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star - Divide paper in half, just like the "Drinking Gourd" lyrics handout - Lyrics on one side - Translation on the other - Songs will be graded on effort

Watch state video: Colorado - Write standard 1/2 page response Download and print the attached pdfs. - The diamond pieces form a puzzle. The sides of the pieces have a part of a sentence. Cut out each piece and re-assemble by placing the beginning of the sentance next to it's corresponding end. All the pieces will go together into one big finished product. - The finished product will be an excellent study guide for the test. If you know everything on this study guide and have all your key terms in your notes, you can't help but do well on the test. - Glue on to construction paper (see Mr. Baker if you need supplies) - Hint: Beginnings of sentences start with capital letters, ends of sentences end with periods.
